As an active person, I never worried about my weight until my late 40s and early 50s, when pre-menopause and menopause hit. Suddenly, I started gaining weight out of nowhere. Determined to take control, I tried cutting carbs, following the keto diet, and exercising regularly. I joined a gym, tried piecing together articles I found on line along with YouTube workout videos, attempted jogging, and even did P90 Boot Camp. Despite my efforts, the weight persisted.
By my mid-50s, I felt drained. I was hitting a wall by mid-afternoon, struggling to keep up with my teenage kids, run my business, and care for my parents. My clothes were getting tighter, I felt awful, and I refused to keep buying bigger sizes. By 56, I was frustrated and desperate for something that actually worked. To top it off, our daughter was getting married in August 2021, and I wanted to feel confident walking down the aisle, dancing at her wedding, and seeing myself in those family photos.
That’s when I found the FASTer Way to Fat Loss program. With nothing to lose, I gave it a shot in January 2021—and by summer, everything had changed. I had lost 15 pounds, 17 inches, and dropped two pants sizes. My energy came back, and I finally felt like myself again. I looked and felt good at the wedding, but I knew this was just the beginning of my journey.
I learned how to properly fuel my body through balanced nutrition and strength training—focusing on what my body needed to thrive, not just survive. I discovered the power of tracking macros, eating enough to support my body, and making sustainable changes that actually worked. No more restrictive diets or endless hours at the gym. It wasn’t magic—it was science.
Feeling empowered by my transformation, I became a FASTer Way to Fat Loss coach in September 2021 to help other women experience their own success stories. Now, at 60, I feel better than I have in years—more energized, stronger, sleeping better, and finally seeing definition in my arms and legs. Plus, no more achy joints!
